Apple today announced they are teaming up with the US Department of Veterans Affairs to bring their digital health records right onto the iPhone.

This will allow 9 million US veterans to access their health data right on their iPhone, and using Apple’s passcode, Touch-ID, or Face-ID security features, it will keep this data private while also being easy to access.

“We have great admiration for veterans, and we’re proud to bring a solution like Health Records on iPhone to the veteran community,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “It’s truly an honor to contribute to the improved healthcare of America’s heroes.”
