Tesla Begins Construction On Moose Jaw Superchargers
Members of the local Tesla Motor Club have noticed that construction has begun on the first Tesla Supercharger location in Saskatchewan.
This location in Moose Jaw, at the Civic Centre Plaza, is one of a total of seven Superchargers locations Tesla plans to build in the province of Saskatchewan. This is part of a larger plan by Tesla to cover the entire Trans-Canada Highway with Superchargers allowing you to drive a Tesla vehicle from one end of Canada to the other.
This location is the first in the province to begin construction with the location in Regina and Moosomin both awaiting local permits before starting construction.
One of the significant factors holding Tesla back on building these new locations in Canada has been the development of the V3 Superchargers. Announced just this year, the V3 Superchargers will allow Tesla vehicle to charge faster than ever, meaning less time stopped and more time driving on the road.
It’s unclear when other location in the province will begin construction, but we will keep our eyes open for any changes. The website Supercharge.info does a great job of tracking current changes to the supercharger network across the world.
