Samsung TV's Featuring iTunes To Launch In Canada This Spring

Samsung is looking to release their new iTunes equip TV's in Canada this spring following the release of the TV's in the USA this past week.

According to a report by MobileSyrup Samsung has confirmed they plan on launching their new 2019 line of QLED TV's in Canada this spring, and those TV's will feature the new iTunes Movies & TV show app.

This app first shown off at CES this year will allow Samsung TV owners to watch content previously purchased within the iTunes Store, or rent new content that comes out in the future.

Samsung is also working on an update scheduled for the future which will bring Airplay 2 to the new TV's allowing you to cast content from your iOS or Mac to the television without additional hardware like the Apple TV box.

Other TV manufacturers are working with Apple also to bring Airplay and HomeKit support to their new TV's, but Samsung is the only company that will have the iTunes App at this time.

It's possible that in the future Apple will work to roll out the iTunes Store to other tv's and devices especially if the rumours are true and they plan on launching their streaming service sometime in 2019.
