Samsung Announces Galaxy Note Event
Samsung has announced their next big product announcement event called Unpacked on August 7th at 4 pm ET at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY. Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy Note 10 at this event, but there could be more.
The Galaxy Note 10 has been in the rumour mill for several months with rumours swirling that Samsung would ditch the headphone jack this year, but could also be working on marking the front display on the Note even larger.
The invitation sent out by Samsung has very little to go off of with a single image of the S Pen and a small single camera lens underneath. It could allude to the fact that the Note 10 will feature a single front-facing camera similar to the S10 but instead of in the top right corner, this time it could be in the Center. As for the S Pen Samsung may have some new tricks up their sleeves related to the favourite accessory for the Note line.
It’s still too early to know what Samsung has planned for this event beyond the new Note 10 announcement. There is a possibility they could bring the Galaxy Fold back up on stage to talk about how they have improved the durability between the first review units being released and the time of the event. Or maybe Samsung wants the press to forget about the failed launch of that phone. Samsung could also focus on the Galaxy Home, their smart home speaker that also has been unable to ship this year.
The Galaxy Home is a somewhat puzzling one. Very little has been released about the product since its original announcement. Originally it was intended to start shipping to customers before the summer, but that release date has come and gone. It’s possible Samsung will make a brief announcement on stage about the future release date of their home speaker.
In the end, mark the date in your calendar, and we will all have to wait and see what Samsung has for us next.
