New Galaxy Note 10 Renders

New renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 have appeared online, and they show off some unexpected changes coming to the flagship Samsung device.

Let’s start by talking about what’s missing from the renders. It looks like this will be the year Samsung ditches the headphone jack. It keeps coming up again and again in the rumours surrounding this device, and yet we see in these renders the headphone jack is missing. This is a bummer for users who enjoy the headphone jack, and for those who looked to Samsung to keep the jack alive when all other smartphone makers followed Apple’s lead and removed it.

On the plus side, it appears Samsung has also removed the Bixby button, so even though we’re losing one thing much love, we’re getting rid of something not many enjoy though I wouldn’t put it past Samsung to hide the button somewhere else on the device.

When looking at the front of the phone, you can see it sports a larger edge to edge display with sharper corners than previous versions. This could be a new design direction for Samsung, which allows the screen to take up most of the front of the phone. Along with the larger display the front facing camera is now located in the top middle of the device instead of a corner. There is also a much smaller chin on this device, making it appear to have a more edge to edge design.

The Note 10 is expected to come in two different sizes. The standard Note 10 with a 6.3-inch display and a new Note 10 Pro with a 6.79-inch display. It should also be noted that the fingerprint scanner is missing from the back of the phone pointing to Samsung integrating the fingerprint scanner into the display of the Note 10.

The Note 10 will also feature three rear-facing cameras lined up in a vertical arrangement this year compared to horizontal last year. Everyone’s favourite S-Pen is also still a feature built into the bottom of the device.

Samsung traditionally announces the Note device at an event in August so we will have to wait until then to learn more from the official announcement.
