New Galaxy Fold Video Shows Crease In The Display

Samsung's Galaxy Fold is an astonishing device that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in the smartphone world, but a new video shows that it may not be as perfect as Samsung would like us to believe.

A new video has appeared online which may be the first public hands-on with the device since it's been announced. The Galaxy Fold can be seen on a table, and one of the first things you notice is the crease down the middle of the display.

Until now Samsung hasn't let anyone handle the device. During the announcement event they were cautious when folding and unfolding the phone, and looking back on it, only showed the phone unfolding from a top-down view. This little camera trick could hide the crease in the display if there were one.

The hands-on video appears to be a promotional video for a Vietnamese network-unlocking service and shows the user going through the settings on the phone an unlocking an AT&T version of the phone for possible use on other networks.

It's unclear how the individual in the video got access to the phone early. The Samsung Galaxy Fold isn't expected to start shipping until late April.
