Microsoft's Your Phone App Beta Released
Microsoft today is rolling out a beta version of their new smartphone screen mirroring app for Windows and Android devices.
The new "Your Phone" app allows Android users to mirror their device screen along with photos and text messages to any supporting Windows 10 computers. This will allow easier access to information stored on your phone along with a quick and easy way to respond to messages on your phone from your desktop.
The new app requires Windows 10 running build 1803 or later, and an Android phone running Android 7.0 or newer. The PC also needs to support Bluetooth low energy peripheral mode.
Currently, many Android phones will support this feature right out of the box including the Samsung S8 and newer phones. As for Surface devices which Microsoft themselves manufacture only the Surface Go supports this feature. Future Surface devices will add support.
