Microsoft Brings Xbox Live Features To iOS and Android Games
Microsoft today announced a new feature designed to bring together gaming on the Xbox with the mobile world on iOS and Android. The new service called Game Stack allows developers to integrate the Xbox Live network and features into their games.
The service was teased a few months ago as it would allow developers to unite Xbox games with iOS, Android, and the Nintendo Switch. Today's announcement doesn't mention anything about the Switch; its possible this support will come in the future.
Game Stack is a developer SDK which allows game developers to add Xbox Live Achievements, Game scores, Hero Status, Friends Lists, Clubs, and even some family settings into iOS and Android games.
The games will require players to log in using their Microsoft account to access these features.
