Google's Pixel Slate Lag Fix In The Works

Announced back on October 9, 2019, the Pixel Slate initially looked like a great alternative to Apple's iPad for the Android user, but as soon as the product made it into reviewers hands a significant issue was apparent, The OS was very laggy.

The tablet runs Chrome OS on four different processors depending upon the configuration you may buy, but it seems that no matter the choice you make the device still lags.

Developers for Chrome OS have already found one possible issue with the OS, its rounded window corners. A strange problem but it appears the way the OS draws the corners on the screen is highly processor intensive. Just turning this off in code results in much faster performance.

Currently, Google has labelled the last issue as a high priority on their online forums, but it's currently unknown when Google will push out an update for their newest tablet.
