Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is looking to unify all their messaging platforms as one new end-to-end encrypted messaging platform.

In a recent note from Zuckerberg to Facebook, Instagram, & What's App employees the CEO wants to unify the three messaging platforms and turn them into an end-to-end encrypted system preventing anyone besides those part of the chat from accessing the messages.

This move would also allow users on Instagram to chat with users on Facebook through the integrated messaging systems already present in the apps.

There is no time frame as to when this could be rolled out for end users, but shortly, you might be receiving more facebook messages even if you don't use the platform.
