CES 2019 - Tuesday Rundown

Google

Google didn't have any significant product announcements at CES today, but they did announce that the Google Assistant will soon be installed on over 1 Billion devices around the world.

Google also announced that they were rolling out a new version of Maps for iOS and Android which will feature the Google Assistant.

Additional partnerships with Sonos and Samsung were announced to allow the Assistant more control over the connected devices.

Lenovo Google Alarm Clock / Smart Speaker

To go along with the announcements from Google about their Assistant, Lenovo debuted a new smart alarm clock which will fit perfectly beside your bed.

The new smart clock is designed to tell you the time, play music and run Google Assistant routines.

Unlike other smart assistant displays, the smart clock is not able to play Youtube videos, make a video called or display google photos on the 4-inch screen.

The Lenovo Smart Clock will cost $80 USD.

Alienware Area-51m Laptop

Dell is showing off their new Alienware Area-51m Laptop at this years CES, and Dell is calling it the world most powerful gaming laptop.

The laptop features the 9th gen Intel i7 or i9 processor, 64 gigs of ram, 2.6Gbps Ethernet and upgradable Nvidia GeForce RTS graphics card along with a display capable of running at 144Hz.

Dell states the GPU and CPU can be overclocked if the user wants, and the laptop features performance 50% faster than last years model.

The Alienware Area-51m will go on sale starting January 29th for $3,390 ($2,549 USD)

Anker unveiled a number of interestingly named new products today at CES. Here is a quick look at each product.

The Infini Pro will be launching this spring for $229.88 USD.

Soundcore Liberty Air

Anker is getting into the headphone game with what product that takes some design cues from Apples Airpods.

The in-ear headphones feature noise cancellation tech, up to 5 hours of playback, expanded to 20 hours by recharging the separate earpieces in the case. The EarPods are also IPX5 water protected.

The Soundcore Liberty Air will come in black and white versions and will sell for $79.99 USD.

Soundcore Icon Series
